Variety would be my choice too Rob. I would contribute to a fund for prizes for best costume etc. Just a thought.
Here's an idea. We could choose an outfit from different decades or era. Beginning from 1920's to 1980's. Downtown Abbey to Disco and Pop.
I like the no theme option as well however if we're looking for a theme, possibly a costume depicting a favorite place travelled. Could be a specific landmark or, a country place, national costume or food. We could make a game of guessing what they are.
