“I’m delighted that we’re going to see so many of the Travel CUTS family in September – really looking forward to it! A special thanks goes to the hardworking Reunion Committee trying to “hurd” us all together…
Best Wishes to all!”

Welcome to the 2025 Travel CUTS Staff Reunion website. This will be the central location for information, booking event tickets, and submitting information that will help us create a fantastic experience for everyone.
This reunion is for former staff of all the companies associated with Travel CUTS (Senate Travel, Voyages Campus, Odyssey Travel, The Adventure Travel Company, Flightline, Innovative Group Travel, SWAP & CFS Services).
All former staff of these brands are invited and are also able to bring a plus one!
It will be a great opportunity to come together and reconnect. There will be ample time over the weekend for you to get together with specific office groups, friends’ groups, old fam groups, etc.
There will be two organized events:
Given the many deposits and minimum spend numbers needed to pull off an event like this, we are asking everyone, if you can, to please commit as soon as possible as we may not be able to accommodate late responses.
The earlier you can commit, the easier it will be for your Organizing Committee to plan.

Best Wishes to all!”

Given that most of you are former or current travel advisors, you know how this works. At the time of publishing this website, we had a look at various airfare prices and to say they are little high is an understatement. Our suggestion: go to your favourite airline and/or booking site and set up an alert that will notify you when prices go down on the itinerary you are looking for. It’s probably the case that the prices are at the level they are because we are so far out from September 2025. Additionally, we are talking with a couple of airlines to see if they would provide us with a discount code. If that happens, we will advise you through this website and provide you with either a booking link or a code to use on the airline website. Wait and watch for seat sales or redeem some of those points you might have!!
We have selected the Chelsea Hotel at 33 Gerrard St. W. in downtown Toronto as our accommodation provider, location for the Saturday night party as well as central gathering spot for the weekend. This hotel is centrally located in the downtown, sits between two subway stations (Dundas & College St) for easy transport and has several options for light meals, get-togethers and drinks. The immediate area around the hotel also offers a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, and bars to allow you to get together with former office colleagues, see friends you haven’t seen in a while, or make new friends.
The committee has secured a block of 75 rooms at a rate of CAD259 plus applicable taxes for single or double occupancy. If you would like to book the room as a triple or quad, each additional person occupying the room will be charged at CAD30.00/night.
All rooms are by default rooms with two double beds. If you prefer one queen sized bed you can request that on the booking link or when you call, at the same rate.
This rate and room block only lasts until the block is fully booked or NO LATER than April 30, 2025, whichever comes/happens first. It is suggested that you book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. This negotiated rate is a fantastic deal for a downtown Toronto hotel, AND you don’t have any risk until 7 days prior to arrival. You will need to guarantee the room with a credit card at the time of booking, however your card will NOT be charged until check in. If you must cancel, you have until 7 days prior to arrival to cancel without penalty. If you cancel within 7 days of your scheduled arrival date, you will be charged for one night’s accommodation. Once the room block is sold out, or the booking deadline passes, we will try to negotiate for additional rooms, or an extension of the booking deadline, however there’s a very good chance it will not be at the rate listed above.
If you would like to arrive early or stay later, there is an opportunity for you to book pre or post nights as part of our contract with the hotel at the same/night rate. This information is available through all booking methods.
Sharing a hotel room is a great way to keep the cost of the weekend down. As mentioned above the rate of $259 is for single or double, $289/night triple and $319/night quad, plus applicable taxes. If you can organize this within your friend’s network, that’s fantastic. If, however, you’re looking to see if anyone else might be interested in sharing a room, please feel free to post a message on the message board on this website. With any luck you’ll find someone else looking to share!
OR Call!
1-800-CHELSEA (243-5742) and quote our group code TCU092625 (Travel CUTS Reunion).
You will need to follow either of these options to ensure you will be offered our negotiated rate.
Please note that the Organizing Committee cannot take any responsibility for any billing issues/failure to follow the process. In case of any issues let us know and we will do our best to work with the hotel sales team.
Booking Deadline for the room block is April 30, 2025.
Over the September 26th weekend, there will be two organized events on Friday and Saturday night. This will leave the rest of the weekend for people to organize their own get-togethers and/or explore the city. In addition to the two ticketed events, there is also a small registration fee.
The Committee has established a CAD50.00 registration fee for the weekend. As you can imagine there are expenses related to the event(s) that will need to be covered. These include things like name badges, decorations, domain registration, a DJ, A/V services, signage, video & image creation, printing etc., as well as other items we probably haven’t even thought of yet. We just want to ensure you have an exceptional experience.
After all these years, this should be a raucous event with lots of conversation, laughs and catch ups! The Friday night opening event will be held at Hemingway’s Bar & Restaurant, 142 Cumberland St., Toronto, ON M5R 1A8, Hemingway’s Restaurant and Bar, from 7pm to 10pm. Hemingway’s is just a short 20-minute walk from the hotel, 15 minutes on the subway from the Dundas Station, or a 10-minute drive/Uber/Lyft. The cost for the opening event is CAD75.00 including taxes & gratuities and will include food and two drinks per person. Food items will include things like veggie trays, fish tacos, salads, desserts etc.
PLEASE NOTE the final menu items as well as the location could change depending on the response we get and the number of people that confirm their attendance.
What would a Travel CUTS reunion be without a themed costume dinner and dance??? We couldn’t possibly let the opportunity go by without a re-creation of a Regional Meeting style party. Our Saturday night event will be held in the Mountbatten Room at the Chelsea Hotel from 7pm to 1am. The Committee figured if people are going to dress up, the event should be no further than an elevator ride away! The cost for the Saturday night event is CAD125.00 including taxes & gratuities and will be a full buffet dinner with a cash bar throughout the evening. More information on the theme, and evening details will be provided in the spring of 2025. For now, if you have any suggestions for a theme, please participate in the discussion on the message board.
PLEASE NOTE the final menu as well as the location could change depending on the response we get and the number of people that confirm their attendance. We have booked the space based on a participation level of approximately 150 people.
We will be using a third-party ticketing platform connected to a payment system to register for the event. You will find an explanation of how to purchase the tickets on the platform, based on the ticket prices listed above. In addition to the ticket prices there are service fees associated with the use of the ticketing platform and credit card fees associated with the payment platform. We researched several companies, and the fees associated with the platforms we are using were amongst the lowest.
Given that we will only have two ticketed events over the weekend, there will be plenty of time to go out and explore the city or take a tour or explore outside of the Toronto metro area. Get together with friends and former colleagues you haven’t seen in forever and go explore a Toronto neighbourhood! Below we are providing you with several links to resources that will help you plan your weekend activities.

In the same way you can use the message board on this site to sort out room sharing, you can also ask if anyone is interested in participating in an activity or a tour that you might be interested in. Maybe pull together a little group. Hopefully these resources will help you out.
To bring our reunion to life we’re asking everyone, (even if you can’t attend, you can still submit), to bring any swag or printed material you have, or submit images of swag, or any image & video that’s related to our CUTS Family.
In addition to sending us images & videos, we would also love to receive ANY stories, anecdotes, important moments, favourite client stories, weirdest moment(s), funniest moment(s) or whatever you can think of that you’d like to share. Lastly, what did Travel CUTS (or the brand you worked for) mean to you? What did it do for you? How did it impact your future or current career choices. Did any of your TCUTS colleagues have an impact on you personally?
We also want to CELEBRATE the lives of those in our family whom we have lost. If you know of someone’s life we should celebrate, please submit the name and any information you might have. Once we have received your submission we will be in touch.
Yes, each former staff person is permitted a Plus One! Bring along a spouse/partner/friend/ industry friend/favourite former supplier.
No, it’s not required. If you have friends you can stay with, or points to redeem at other hotels, feel free to make those arrangements. For the location & quality of the hotel that The Chelsea Hotel provides, the rate we have negotiated is quite good.
We would certainly love to see you at both events; however, it’s not a requirement. You are more than welcome to attend just one of the two ticketed events. If you are attending both events, and you have a Plus One, they can also choose to attend just one event if they wish. You will find all these options available on the ticketing platform.
Easy. Email tcutsreunion@gmail.com and we will happily add them. In addition to their email address, please provide as much information as you have, i.e., name, office(s) and years worked.
While we realize that January/February is far from ideal to pay for an event happening in September, we are a volunteer committee and therefore cannot take on any personal financial liability in contracting the event locations and catering. Both Hemingway’s and The Chelsea Hotel have been very flexible in terms of signing contracts & deposit requirements, however we do have a deadline of February 10th to confirm the venues. If we do not feel we will be able to meet the minimum Food and Beverage spend requirements by that commitment date, we may lose these locations. This is why we are asking you to register as soon as possible. If you can purchase your ticket(s) by February 10th that would be ideal. Not required, but helpful.
You can register & purchase event tickets with confidence, the Reunion is happening. There is no risk in registering this early. Depending on the response we receive, we may need to amend the details (within the costs we have published) by moving to smaller venues.
The answer to this is as soon as possible. There is no risk in making your hotel reservation as your credit card will not be charged until you check-in and you have until 7 days prior to arrival to cancel with NO PENALTY. We have a block of 75 rooms at The Chelsea Hotel, at $259/night, single or double, plus taxes. Triple & Quad rates are also available. The deadline for booking these rooms at this rate is April 30th, or until they are sold out. So, book it now to hold your room!
OR Book by Phone, Call 1-800-CHELSEA (243 5742) and quote group code TCU092625 (Travel CUTS reunion).
For those of you needing to book airline tickets to Toronto, typically there are a lot of January and February seat sales, so watch for those. Perhaps you have points or miles available and can redeem those for transportation. If you are booking in advance, please consider the reliability of the carrier you are booking. For example, it is no secret that Flair Airlines has had some financial instability. We would suggest you consider purchasing trip cancellation & interruption insurance to cover any risks.
Looking to keep your accommodation costs down, or just want a roommate? Feel free to post a message on our message board and hopefully this will connect you with others looking to share.
To post a question or reply on the message board, you will first need to register. On the message board page, click the Register link and proceed with entering a username and your email address. For the Friday event at Hemingways in Yorkville (Cumberland St) the ticket price is inclusive of all taxes & gratuities and will include 2 drink tickets and food served buffet style throughout the evening. Food items will include things like veggie trays, pizza, fish tacos, salads, desserts etc.
PLEASE NOTE the final menu items as well as the location could change depending on the response we get and the number of people that confirm their attendance.
For the Saturday event at The Chelsea, there will be a full buffet dinner in one of the hotel’s event spaces. It will either be the Saphire or (hopefully) Ruby buffet option depending on our numbers (see link below). Your ticket price also covers other costs like the room rental, audio visual, music/DJ, room décor, taxes and gratuities. To keep costs as low as possible and in fairness to those driving and our non-drinkers, we have excluded alcohol. There will be a cash bar available throughout the event. The link below will provide you with descriptions of the buffet menus as well as bar prices. Please remember none of these prices include taxes & gratuities.
There is a list of registered attendees on the ticketing platform at the bottom of the page.
At the time of writing this, there hasn’t been a decision made on the theme for Saturday night. We are hopeful that you provide us with some ideas. There will be a discussion on the message board on our website. Please participate and put forward ideas, and/or support other ideas already put forward so we can select a theme that you can get behind and have fun with.
No, the only two events being planned are on Friday and Saturday night. We have intentionally left the rest of the weekend open for you to create your own get togethers or explore Toronto and the local region. We have included some links on the website to local activities and there are also lots of pubs and restaurants close to the hotel.
There is a lobby bar (Elm St bar) with very competitive drink and food prices, as well as a Marketplace cafeteria area which sells beer and wine to take out or consume in the cafe area or out on the adjoining patio with picnic tables. The lobby also has lots of sofas and seats where you can catch up with friends.
Both organized events will have a good variety of food items. There will be items that are vegetarian and gluten free, however if you have other specific allergies or restrictions please email tcutsreunion@gmail.com and we will take your needs to our contacts at the event venues. Please do not leave this to the last minute.
